President's Message

Ballincollig RFC is thrilled to announce and welcome Tadgh Hurley as our new President! Tadgh isn’t just a President; he’s a living embodiment of the club’s spirit, a dedicated member who has poured his heart and soul into Ballincollig RFC for over two decades.

From coaching minis and youths to shaping our rugby strategy as Director of Rugby, Tadgh’s influence has been felt at every level of our organization. He’s been a Youth Coordinator, a mentor, and a friend to countless players and supporters. His commitment to Ballincollig RFC is legendary, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him lead us forward.

Tadgh’s journey began in Skibbereen, where his love of the sport was first ignited. Since 2001, Ballincollig RFC has been his rugby home, and incredibly, he still takes to the field, now playing alongside his sons Adam, James, and Aaron! This speaks volumes about his passion for the game and his dedication to our club.

I am incredibly proud to continue contributing to the rugby community that has given so much to me and my family, and I want to ensure that legacy continues.”

We will continue to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where players of all ages and abilities can thrive. My primary focus is on strengthening our club’s infrastructure, enhancing member engagement, and building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses, schools, and community groups. Together, we can ensure that Ballincollig RFC remains a cornerstone of our community for generations to come. We’ll focus on youth development, creating pathways for our young players to achieve their full potential, both on and off the pitch. We’ll also prioritize creating a vibrant social atmosphere, making the club a place where everyone feels welcome and valued.”
