Health and Safety / Concussion Aware
ALL of our rugby grades have coaches with a SAFE RUGBY qualification and trained in using our two on-site defibulators.
ALL coaches are trained through Munster Rugby courses and are Garda vetted.

For coaches to be considered ‘Concussion Aware’, they must:
1. Complete the World Rugby online module ‘Concussion Management for the General Public’
2. Be aware of and follow the IRFU ‘Graduated Return to Play (GRTP)’ protocol. This protocol, which remains different to the World Rugby protocol, requires a stand down period of 23 days for players Under 20 years of age following a suspected or confirmed concussion.
The IRFU Concussion Policy and details of the GRTP are available at http://www.irishrugby.ie/downloads/GRTP_Wallet_Card_Final.pdf
