A perfect start of the League for the 1st XV

The 1st XV had to travel to Charleville in search for a perfect start of the league and pursuing their hunger for promotion.

The home side’s defence worked very efficiently and didn’t give the visitors any big chances for exposure.
However, two very well executed moves and a great inter-play in the back line saw Padraig Flynn crossing the white-wash twice.
Richard Dineen added a difficult conversion from close to side line to the first try.

Ballincollig gave away too many penalties and nearly allowed the home side to get back into the game.
But several turnovers and a solid defence denied them to score more than one try on their own pitch.

Both teams defended their lines ferociously for all of the second half.
The only difference was a penalty to visitors, converted by Denis Galvin, late in the second half, denying Charlevill RFC the loosing bonus point.

The 1st Xv will play Kilrush RFC next in the League at Tanner Park.
This match is scheduled for the 10.11.2012, Kick Off 14.30.
